Christian Education
Christian Education does not end – ever. This group coordinates prayer groups, special Bible studies, and Sunday School for all ages.
Acolytes
Our worship is greatly enhanced by the ministry of our acolytes for children and youth.
AVengers
Sound systems do not operate themselves – they require management by a team of super heroes who work each week so that our worship experiences are excellent.
Caring Ministries
Visiting shut-ins, caring for those in the hospital, and providing a kind word to those in need – all are attributes of disciples and opportunities are providing through our Caring Ministries team.
Church Council
Every congregation is required by our United Methodist Book of Discipline to provide a governing body of leaders. At Sunset UMC that is our Church Council.
Communications Team
An important part of church programming is getting the word out about events, projects and concerns.
Communion Stewards
Communion is a sacrament that is important to the spiritual life of the congregation. Our communion stewards perform their tasks as servants of Jesus Christ.
Financial Assistants
After the offering is collected, it takes a committed team to process our gifts.

Fun and Fellowship
One of our vision goals is to provide opportunities for inter-generational activity and games which requires some fun-oriented leadership.

A vision goal is to continue adding new and engaging elements to worship and that takes a team of enthusiastic planners.

More than just nominating names for slots, the Lay Leader Team works to match gifts of members to ministry needs of the church.

Missions is a vital part of Christian discipleship and Sunset UMC recognizes the importance of sharing our resources and our time
Music – Adults, Children and Youth
In addition to our outstanding chancel choir, the participation of our children and youth is greatly appreciated by all who worship, and the leadership of our adults makes this possible.

In addition to leaders of programs, Sunset UMC is blessed with "behind the scenes" people who make sure our facilities reflect the Kingdom of God in special ways.

Our UMM organization is very active at the local, district, and conference levels.

Van Drivers
Every week, a team of dedicated disciples carry out a ministry that may not be highly visible, but is extremely valuable to those who participate.
Hospitality and Connection
Our vision includes making embers and visitors feel more welcome, helping them find a connection with people and ministries, and ongoing communication.
Youth Volunteers
Youth activities do not happen without adult leaders. These dedicated and energetic adults coordinate Sunday School, UMYF and special youth activities.
